Arsenal Boys Add Three Experienced College Coaches to Staff

August 10, 2014

Arsenal FC of PA is proud to announce three great additions to the boys’ coaching staff for 2014-15.

Bryce Cooper is the #1 Assistant Coach of Duquesne University’s Men’s Soccer team, and Brady Sanders is the #1 Assistant Coach of California University of PA’s Men’s Soccer team.  Tony Pici is an Assistant Coach of LaRoche Men’s Soccer team.  All three coaches also have valuable experience at the club level.  Bryce and Brady will be working with Arsenal players at our high school level and Tony will be coaching Arsenal players at the U11-12 levels.

Along with coaching at Division 1 college programs such as Butler University and St. Francis of PA, Coach Cooper has coached at well-established competitive clubs such as Carmel United (IN) and the USSF Developmental Academy’s Indiana Fire U16-18 teams.  Coach Cooper currently holds a USSF ‘B’ License and will pursue an ‘A’ license this winter.   As a player, Coach Cooper spent four years at the University of Southern Indiana and helped lead the Screaming Eagles to a national ranking in 2003 and three conference tournament appearances.

Coach Cooper wants the Arsenal FC community to know the following:  “I am excited for the opportunity to work for one of the premier clubs in all of Western Pennsylvania.   Arsenal FC has a successful track record of promoting player development and giving players all the tools to be successful both on and off the field.  I look forward to continuing to build upon that success as well as helping to create the best possible environment in the Pittsburgh area to help players reach their goals.”

Coach Sanders, at the club level, has coached a three-time state championship team.  Coach Sanders holds a USSF “C” license.  As a player, Coach Sanders spent three years at Cal U and helped the Vulcans record the first NCAA Tournament win in program history. Coach Sanders was a three-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and four-time member of the Cal U AD Honor Roll during his collegiate career.

Coach Pici played 4 years at LaRoche College and has a Master’s Degree in Sports Leadership from the University of Duquesne.
